UPDATE 03/29/2017: Since my last Korean Tourist Visa has expired, I had to apply for a new one. I actually wanted to apply before my visa even expired. I was gonna go together with my cousin but it was not allowed. You can only apply for another visa once your current one has expired. It was the same requirements and process. What was different this time is I applied with their BPI and BDO promotion.

Guest Post: How I Got My US Tourist Visa in the Philippines

Since my visa posts are usually my top posts and my friend, a fellow blogger from Eats in Baguio just recently got her US visa. I asked her to write a blog post about her experience so I can share it here on my blog. If you ask me questions about it, I probably wouldn’t know the answers since I didn’t experience it myself. Mine was more than 10 years ago. ^.^

How I got my Japan Tourist Visa in the Philippines

UPDATE (MARCH 31, 2016): This is how I got my Japan Tourist visa in the Philippines. Also, this is what the new Japan visa looks like. The paper is matte. Whereas the one before is glossy. I think the old one is prettier because the flowers and the colors are more obvious. The new one has them but they are muted down. My cousin recently applied for one and they gave her multiple entry for 5 years. 🙂

How I got my Canadian Tourist Visa in the Philippines

How I got my Canadian Tourist Visa in the Philippines

UPDATE:  As of March 15, 2016, visa-exempt foreign nationals are expected to have an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to fly to or transit through Canada. Exceptions include U.S. citizens, and travellers with a valid Canadian visa. Canadian citizens, including dual citizens, and Canadian permanent residents are not eligible to apply for an eTA.

However, from March 15, 2016 until fall 2016, travellers who do not have an eTA can board their flight, as long as they have appropriate travel documents, such as a valid passport. During this time, border services officers can let travellers arriving without an eTA into the country, as long as they meet the other requirements to enter Canada. Find answers to your questions about the leniency period.

South Korea Tourist Visa Experience

South Korea Tourist Visa Experience

I just wanted to share my experience about applying for a South Korea Tourist visa. We went to the embassy at around 930am. We took a Taxi to get there. They receive applications from 9am – 11am. They ask for an ID at the gate and they give you a guest badge. Inside the building, the guard by the door will ask you if it’s your first time to apply in which they will direct you to Window 1, or if you are sponsored by someone in Korea and they will direct you to Window 2, or if you have an OECD visa valid in the past five years and they will direct you to Window 3. So, once you know which window to go to, the guard will give you a corresponding number. They have application forms available at the guard’s desk just in case you don’t have one. I printed mine off of the embassy website. We only waited for about 15-20 minutes before it was our turn. It was pretty quick. I submitted the following to the Korean consul:
