Hanoi Night Market is located in the Old Quarter near Hoan Kiem Lake and covers 3 kilometers. They close of the streets for traffic and merchandise are displayed in the middle of the street. There are also a lot of food stalls.

Cafe Pho Co Hanoi is a very charming coffee shop located near Hoan Kiem Lake. It specializes in caphe trung da which is coffee made with egg. It’s very difficult to find and there are not really obvious visible signs from the street but it’s such a good, authentic cafe if you find it. 😉

Hanoi Old Quarter is probably one of the most popular areas of Hanoi. It is very historic with old buildings and structures around the area. It is also teeming with hotels so there are a lot of options. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants. The lake is at a walkable distance. For us, it is the perfect base to explore Hanoi and experience the culture.

There are several accommodations in Hanoi with good locations and reviews. The Noble and Swan Boutique Hotel Hanoi is one of them. The good thing about Hanoi is there are plenty of options. When I am trying to determine which hotel to choose from several good ones, I always factor in the location, budget and reviews. Since we were on a certain budget but also didn’t mind to spend a little bit more, this was our choice. It had a great location, amazing service and very comfortable.

What to do in 3 days in one of the most charming cities of Asia?

 

 

Hanoi is such a vibrant and busy city. Most tourists stay in the center in Old Quarter or the Hoan Kiem area which is where we stayed because most of the activities are in these parts. A lot of restaurants and attractions are at a walking distance. Taxis are very inexpensive. They also have Uber in this city which is very convenient.
