Train from Narita Airport to Harajuku Station

Train from Narita Airport to Harajuku Station

There are a few options to go from Narita airport to Harajuku. According to Rome2rio, these are the options and corresponding prices: Train (Keisei Railways) – 2600 yen, Limousine Bus – 3270 yen, Trian via Tokyo – 1520 yen, Bus Peace Transport Service – 1320 yen, Taxi 28000-34000 yen, and Driving at 1400 yen. We opted to take the N’EX (Narita Express) Tokyo Direct Train at 1500 yen. I think they were having a promotion at that time. It normally costs 3,190 yen. The current promotion is at 4,000 yen for round trip tickets which is not bad. We took the train from Narita airport to Harajuku station.

Sapporo New Chitose Airport

Sapporo New Chitose Airport

On our arrival to Sapporo, we didn’t really get the chance to explore the Sapporo New Chitose Airport since we were scrambling for time just to get to Niseko. I’m glad we got the opportunity to check it out before we departed since I’ve read a lot of good things about it. 🙂

Airport Bus from Susukino to Sapporo airport

Airport Bus from Susukino to Sapporo airport

Our option for travel to the airport was the airport bus since it was pretty close to where we are staying and we don’t have to carry our luggage around if we did it by metro. Taxi would have been really expensive. This post is about taking the Airport Bus from Susukino to Sapporo airport. From our hotel, we just walked about 3 blocks to get to the airport bus stop on the other side of the road so we checked out early to allow some time to get here and get to the airport on time. It was a bit confusing to look for this bus stop so I took some pictures so I can hopefully help anyone who’s also staying int he Susukino area of Sapporo to find it.

The cost of getting the bus (1000 yen) compared to the train (1110 yen) is cheaper and more convenient in my opinion since you have to transfer at the JR Sapporo station and drag your suit cases all over the place. The drive is about an hour.

Garaku Sapporo Soupcurry

Garaku Sapporo Soupcurry

Soup curry is a specialty in Sapporo so we decided to try Garaku Sapporo Soupcurry out. We had a bit of a hard time looking for the place since it’s not really in an area where there are other restaurants as well. Most of the people we noticed who were eating were locals or adventurous Asian tourists. Haha.

Maruyama Park

Maruyama Park

Maruyama Park is such a beautiful tree lined park especially in winter. We actually stumbled upon this park accidentally. We were originally wanting to go to the Hokkaido Shrine but we went on the wrong station. The man that was at the booth told us to go to the previous station which was the Maruyama-Koen Station on the Tozai Line.

From Nijo Market, we made our way back to Odori Park. Snapped a few pictures of the TV Tower and just walked along the park. The time we were there was a week before the Sapporo Snow Festival and we can see the place getting busy with the ice sculptures.

Loved this place. The place looks so lively and happy. Otaru is also known to brew their beer. This is located on the warehouse side from the Otaru Canal, just around the corner. It looked like a place where locals frequent to meet up and have a drink.
