Philippines 3 Weeks Itinerary

Philippines 3 Weeks Itinerary

If you have a foreigner friend asking you what to see in the Philippines for a few weeks? What do you tell them? The Philippines is an archipelago located in Southeast Asia. Unlike its popular neighboring countries that are easier to reach, you have to actually plan a trip to go here. It is a destination. It can’t be reached by land from the Asian mainland like most of Southeast Asia. In my opinion, it is special that way  because it makes it less touristy or super crowded. It was my boyfriend’s first visit in the country and I wanted to make it memorable. We had a time frame of 3 weeks. It would be impossible to see everything in that short time.

Antwerp City Guide

Antwerp City Guide

The city of Antwerp, Belgium has made it on Lonely Planet’s Top 10 Cities to visit in 2018. It is number 6 on the list. I have been coming to this city for the past 3 years and have moved here recently. Antwerp has that lovely combination of being metropolitan while still having that small town feel. My mom visited recently and I showed her this beautiful city for a few days and I thought I would share it with you or anyone who would like to visit this city. This Antwerp City Guide can hopefully help you plan your next trip. 🙂

Hanoi 3 days Itinerary

What to do in 3 days in one of the most charming cities of Asia?

Hanoi is such a vibrant and busy city. Most tourists stay in the center in Old Quarter or the Hoan Kiem area which is where we stayed because most of the activities are in these parts. A lot of restaurants and attractions are at a walking distance. Taxis are very inexpensive. They also have Uber in this city which is very convenient.

Vienna, Prague and Berlin Itinerary

Vienna, Prague and Berlin Itinerary

We spent a week traveling in 3 countries. This is our Vienna, Prague and Berlin Itinerary. We got plane tickets on sale for around 20-25 euros per way. In between the countries, we rode trains. This is a winter itinerary so it was very, very cold. Maybe that’s why the tickets were so cheap, no one wanted to come in this cold weather. Haha. For us from the tropics, it’s a novelty but I know europeans chase the sun and they only like the cold when it’s a ski trip. 😛

Fukuoka 3 Day Itinerary

Fukuoka 3 Day Itinerary

This is our Fukuoka 3 Day Itinerary. Thanks to a cousin who is vigilant with promo fares. We had such a wonderful time in Fukuoka even if it was really short. The Cherry Blossoms have fallen on the ground but it was just as pretty. Luckily, we still found some on trees. We also ate our fill of their famous Hakata ramen. We didn’t see many western tourists. Most tourists were either Japanese or Korean as it being really close to the city of Busan in South Korea. We also learned that the famous JaDine couple were there shooting a scene from their movie the day they left. If we had known, we probably would have visited the city of Saga. Haha.

My Myanmar Itinerary

My Myanmar Itinerary

I had such an amazing time in this beautiful country. I spent 10 days here or 14 if I include my transit in Bangkok. I knew a friend who was living in Mandalay and we would meet at times but most of this travel was done solo. Here’s my Bangkok and Myanmar itinerary.

Our Winter Japan Trip Itinerary

Our Winter Japan Trip Itinerary

When there’s a Japan seat sale at Cebu Pacific, my heart always skips a beat. Usually when I go to a place the second time, it’s not as amazing as the first time. Japan however, does not disappoint. We went to about 7 cities/towns. It was my dream to see Shirakawa-go and I finally did! It was not cheap but I think it was worth it since It would probably be hard to go back during the winter and this is the time Shirakawa-go really shines. I don’t mind coming back to this beautiful country whenever I can afford it or live there if I ever get the chance. Haha.

3 Day Puerto Princesa Itinerary

3 Day Puerto Princesa Itinerary

1

We always try to go somewhere new every year. For this year, me and my cousins went on a family trip to Puerto Princesa, Palawan last June thanks to promo fares again. We did consider going to El Nido instead but we only had 3 days and the travel time to El Nido is about 6-8 hours so it wasn’t really worth it plus the fortune teller in Seoul told me to steer away from long land travels in the month of June. I wanted to be on the safe side. 🙂

Day 1
Green Space Hostel
Lunch at Balinsasayaw
Puerto Princesa Tour: Crocodile Farm, Mitra’s Ranch, Baker’s Hill, Plaza Cuartel
Puerto Princesa market and seafood dinner

Day 2
Underground River Tour – this just magnified my aversion to group tours, never again.
Ka Lui for dinner

Day 3
DIY Honda Bay Island Hopping Tour (Luli Island, Starfish Island, Isla Pandan, Cowrie Island) – this we loved
Dinner at local Vietnamese Restaurant

My 3 Day Itinerary in Prague

14

I’m back on my Europe posts from last summer. This was a solo trip since my cousin who was my companion for the first two weeks had to return home. I was both anxious and excited. The advantage of solo travel is you get to decide when to get up and see the sights on your own time and pace. The disadvantage is no one takes your picture. Haha. I love Prague. I would love to come back here with friends and/or family the next time. It’s just really lovely and not as expensive as other European cities. 🙂

Taipei 3 Day Itinerary

Taipei 3 Day Itinerary

This is our Taipei 3 day itinerary. We had plenty of time to see the sights and it was also enough to make us want to come back for more. 🙂

We really enjoyed walking the streets of Taipei and eating at the night markets. It was a birthday holiday for me and I was lucky that my cousin wanted to tag along for the trip. We got our airfare on promotion from Cebu Pacific. We also found a very charming hotel in Ximending. We found the people of Taiwan very nice. We really didn’t expect to enjoy ourselves so much in this trip since Taiwan is not exactly one of the more popular destinations in Asia so we were very pleasantly surprised and we can’t wait to take other family and friends when we go back in the future.
