Vienna Prague Berlin Trip Budget

Vienna Prague Berlin Trip Budget

How much does it cost to visit 3 cities in 3 countries in Europe in 7 Days?

Not that much. We were on a very tight budget for this trip and I think we did fairly well. This Vienna, Prague, Berlin Trip Budget could hopefully help you plan your own trip while giving you an idea of how much it could cost. Our visit included 3 cities in 3 countries in 7 days and we were really happy with the trip. It probably helped to keep the cost down traveling in winter since not a lot of people would like to go somewhere cold except for maybe girls like us from the tropics. 🙂

Reichstag

Reichstag

The Reichstag Building is a historical building constructed in 1894 to house the Imperial Diet of the German empire. It was set on fire in 1933 and was severely damaged. It fell into disuse until it was partially refurbished in the 1960s. Restoration began in 1990 and it was fully restored in 1999. Now, it’s used by the German Parliament.

Berlin East Side Gallery

Berlin East Side Gallery

The Berlin East Side Gallery is an international memorial for freedom. It has a long stretch of wall with murals from different artists around the world spanning 1.3 kilometers so it’s a lot of walking. Haha. It is said that it is possibly the largest and longest lasting open gallery in the world.

Berlin Free Walking Tour

Berlin Free Walking Tour

We took the Berlin Free Walking Tour on a really cold day in January – not the best idea. The weather was probably -3 and feels like -10. We were freezing the whole time and most of it was outdoors but we pushed through with it anyway since we can’t really control the weather and we don’t know when we’ll go back to this city. It was just like Yolo! Haha.

Sandeman’s is the company that does the The Berlin Free Walking Tour we availed. The company has several free tours a day. I don’t know if they have more in the summer than in winter but I would guess they would. Currently, the scheduled tours are everyday at 10AM, 10:30AM, 11AM, 11:30AM, 2PM and 4PM. The tour starts in East Berlin and the meeting place is at the Starbucks at the Brandenburg Gate. If you take the metro, it’s really close to one of the exits. The stop is Brandenburger Tor.

Meininger Hotel Berlin Hauptbanhof

Meininger Hotel Berlin Hauptbanhof

Meininger Hotel Berlin Hauptbanhof is probably the closest we have been on accommodation to a train station. It is literally a few meters away on the right when you exit the main Berlin Central station. The location is very central since you have access to the whole city via metro and buses. Also via trains for nearby countries. The tourist buses where you can hop on and hop off also park across the street from the hotel. Location is definitely 5 out of 5. You can’t beat that. The picture below shows you its proximity to Berlin Hauptbanhof.

Vienna, Prague and Berlin Itinerary

Vienna, Prague and Berlin Itinerary

We spent a week traveling in 3 countries. This is our Vienna, Prague and Berlin Itinerary. We got plane tickets on sale for around 20-25 euros per way. In between the countries, we rode trains. This is a winter itinerary so it was very, very cold. Maybe that’s why the tickets were so cheap, no one wanted to come in this cold weather. Haha. For us from the tropics, it’s a novelty but I know europeans chase the sun and they only like the cold when it’s a ski trip. 😛
