Family Reunification Belgium

Family Reunification Belgium

Family Reunification in Belgium is a process that you have to go through if you want to join your partner or family and live in Belgium or vice versa. The process is tedious but I suspect most procedures like these are. There are different set of requirements and conditions depending on your situation, your partner or family’s situation and where you are from.

Ellis Gourmet Burger Antwerp

Ellis Gourmet Burger Antwerp

The restaurant Ellis Gourmet Burger is located at De Keyserlei 21 in Antwerp. It’s the street directly across the Antwerp Central Station where there are a lot of restaurants and shops lined up. They serve burgers. It seems like designer burger places have been popping up around the country. I went here for lunch because I was craving some fluffy American pancakes which I saw that they were advertising. In Belgium, their pancakes are thinner, almost like crepe. They are very good as well. I just suddenly missed the fluffy ones.

Antwerp Christmas Market

Antwerp Christmas Market

The Antwerp Christmas Market will be up in a month’s time so if you are visiting the city around 9 December 2017 to 7 January 2018, you will be able to enjoy the festivities. The Visit Antwerp website says that it will be a magical winter wonderland and there will be “dusting of diamonds” this year. The festivities of the Antwerp Christmas Market includes the ice rink at Groenplaats, the Christmas Market stalls, the big Ferris Wheel, the slip and slide tube for kids. They would also have some items around the city. Two years ago they had the display where they had snow on the glass so you can take your picture behind it. Last year, they had a small structure with mistletoe hang above so you can kiss under it.

Leonardo Hotel Antwerp

Leonardo Hotel Antwerp

The Leonardo Hotel Antwerp is very close to the Central station. We chose this hotel because we had to leave really early by train. It was also was right on budget at the time we booked it. The price was around 59.10 euros a night excluding the city tax of 2.39 per person per night which most hotels probably charge separately.  The hotel is obviously running on the Leonardo Da Vinci theme whom the hotel was named after.

I have been coming to this city for the past 3 years and have moved here recently. Antwerp has that lovely combination of being metropolitan while still having that small town feel. My mom visited recently and I showed her this beautiful city for a few days and I thought I would share it with you or anyone who would like to visit this city. This Antwerp City Guide can hopefully help you plan your next trip. 🙂

Vienna Prague Berlin Trip Budget

Vienna Prague Berlin Trip Budget

How much does it cost to visit 3 cities in 3 countries in Europe in 7 Days?

Not that much. We were on a very tight budget for this trip and I think we did fairly well. This Vienna, Prague, Berlin Trip Budget could hopefully help you plan your own trip while giving you an idea of how much it could cost. Our visit included 3 cities in 3 countries in 7 days and we were really happy with the trip. It probably helped to keep the cost down traveling in winter since not a lot of people would like to go somewhere cold except for maybe girls like us from the tropics. 🙂
