We took the airport train from Dongzhimen station to the airport since it’s the cheapest way to get to the airport at 25 yuan. It’s also fast as it only take about 20 minutes.

Behai Park is one of the largest, oldest and best preserved park in Beijing. The Chinese people are brilliant and you can see it in their parks. They are grand, majestic and also utilitarian. They’re not just pretty to look at but they also have their function.

Beijing is famous for its peking duck and Dadong does a pretty good job with it. I would really recommend going here. The prices are affordable for such a great restaurant. You must make reservations just to be sure that you get a table. They have 4 branches and we went to the branch in Nanxincang which is very close to the subway.

798 Art District

 

 

798 Art District is an art complex in the Chaoyang District of Beijing. This is probably one of the coolest places I’ve been to in China. It used to be a military factory complex which they’ve converted to art galleries, cafes and the like.

Nan Luo Gu Xiang

Nan Luo Gu Xiang

 

 

Nan Lu Guo Xiang is a hutong in the Dongcheng district of Beijing. It is lined up with really cute stores and snack shops. Also, the distinct lanterns hanging overhead are up year round.  It is approximately 800m long, running from Guluo East St. to Di’anmen East Street so I thought it would be a good idea to check Tiananmen Square first.

Beijing Olympic Stadium and Water Cube

 

 

I missed this on our last trip since our tour group didn’t have time to stop by so we just saw it from the bus. I just had to see it up close so I put it on our first day. It’s really a visual wonder. I can imagine how full this place was in the 2008 Olympics. I wish I was here. The 2008 Olympics probably had the best opening ceremony hands down and it happened here.
