Inle Lake Travel Guide

Inle Lake Travel Guide

Inle Lake is probably the fourth most popular destination in Myanmar after Bagan, Yangon and Mandalay. You can reach it through the town of Nyaung Shwe. This is the nearest town for the lake and where all the buses and vans stop. This is also where you will find a lot of accommodations and restaurants. The town of Nyaung Shwe is basically a good base for exploring Inle Lake. It is a freshwater lake and the second largest lake in Myanmar.

Bagan Travel Guide

Bagan Travel Guide

I made a graphic Bagan travel guide hoping that it might help someone who is planning or curious about travel to Bagan, Myanamar. I really enjoyed my time in Bagan and it has probably the most authentic place I’ve been to so far. It’s very raw and not crowded at the time I visited, that also means the usual conveniences are not there but that also adds charm to the place.

M3 Hotel Review in Mandalay

I booked the hotel before my trip since I didn’t want to look for any while I was there. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind staying at Royal Yadanarbon Hotel again. This hotel is a bit pricier than my usual pick but the location is really good. It’s on the main road and a couple of blocks from the AirAsia bus stop which is the corner of the Royal Palace complex as well. I asked my friend who lived there about my hotel choices before booking and she said that she knew this one so I went with it. Here’s my M3 Hotel review. 🙂

RichKing Korean Cafe

RichKing Korean Cafe

There were a few good restaurants that opened recently in my city and of course we had to try them. I think it’s good and it shows progress and as consumers, we get options. 🙂 RichKing Korean Cafe is owned by a South Korean who has lived in the Philippines for a few years. I didn’t take a picture of the restaurant from my phone so I had to link one from their facebook page. It is located at San Roque. It is right above the D&C Restaurant, near BDO and Siesta bus station. This is their facebook page for more information.

Jack meets Kaldi Specialty Coffee

Jack meets Kaldi Specialty Coffee

There is this new restaurant that we visited a week ago called Jack Meets Kaldi Specialty Coffee. When a new restaurant/food place opens up, we just have to try it. When you see it on your Facebook feed, your curiosity just grows more. It is located on Bypass road in between San Sebastian and Fairlane Subdivision. It is next to Primadelli Restaurant. You won’t miss it. The place is beautiful and they have a large outdoor space in front of the cafe. This is their facebook page for more information.

A Myanmar rest stop for buses and vans

A Myanmar rest stop for buses and vans

This Myanmar rest stop we were at was not very big. There were maybe 2 buses at most but a lot of them were local looking taxis and vans. It seems like a local stop too, not too many foreigners. It had a huge restaurant and some stalls outside selling mangoes and snacks.
